Delegate to National Convention form
Dear Department Convention Delegates and Alternates,
As we prepare for the 2026 American Legion National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, we wanted to provide answers to several frequently asked questions to help make your arrival and registration as smooth as possible.
1. Where can I find information about the National Convention?  All information pertaining to the Department of Colorado's participation in the National Convention is available on the Department website.
Please visit www.coloradolegion.org, select the Department Convention tab, and then choose National Convention for updates, schedules, forms, and important announcements.
2. Do I pay the Department of Colorado for my hotel room at the Galt House?  No.
Guests are responsible for paying the hotel directly for their room charges upon arrival at the Galt House Hotel.

3. Where do I pick up my credentials and Commander’s Banquet tickets? Convention credentials and Commander's Banquet tickets will be distributed from the Department Adjutant's Room at the Galt House.
The room number, distribution schedule, and hours of operation will be announced and posted as soon as that information becomes available.
4. Delegate Registration Requirements  All certified Delegates and Alternates are required to pay the Department Convention Registration Fee of $35.00 per person when checking in to receive their credentials.
Payment may be made by:
  • Cash
  • Check
  • Credit Card
Please note that Delegate and Alternate registration for the National Convention is closed.
Only those Delegates and Alternates elected and certified during the Department Convention are eligible to serve.
If a vacancy exists, any request to fill that vacancy must first be submitted through your respective District Commander for approval.
No individual will be seated as a Delegate or Alternate on the Convention floor without approval from their District Commander and authorization from the Department of Colorado.
If you have additional questions before traveling to Louisville, please do not hesitate to contact the Department Headquarters. We are happy to assist you and look forward to representing the Department of Colorado at the 2026 National Convention.
Thank you for your continued service and commitment to The American Legion.
